Our History

36 Years of Cricket Excellence

Founded in 1988, Muthukulam Cricket Club (MCC) has been the heartbeat of cricket in the Muthukulam region of Alappuzha, Kerala. What began as a community sports initiative has evolved into a professionally managed cricket academy with over 140 active members.

Affiliated with the Alappuzha District Cricket Association (ADCA) under the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA), MCC provides its members with a clear competitive pathway from grassroots to state-level representation.

Today, MCC is not just a cricket club — it is a character-building institution that uses the sport as a vehicle for discipline, fitness, personal growth, and community upliftment.

Key Milestones

1988
MCC Founded
Muthukulam Cricket Club established by cricket enthusiasts in the Muthukulam community. First formal training sessions begin with basic equipment and community spirit.
Mid 1990s
District Affiliation
MCC formally affiliated with the Alappuzha District Cricket Association, opening doors to competitive district-level tournaments and structured cricket pathways.
2000s
Academy Structure Developed
Introduction of age-category training batches (U14, U16, U19) with dedicated coaching programs. Club membership grows steadily. First district selections achieved.
2010s
Infrastructure Investment
Construction of 40m indoor nets facility with astroturf wicket. Procurement of bowling machine. Floodlight installation enabling evening training sessions.
Recent Years
State-Level Achievements
Multiple players selected to Kerala State teams including Women's Senior team, U16 and U19 squads. MCC hosts 8+ All Kerala T20 tournaments and conducts school outreach programs.
Today
140+ Members, Growing
MCC has 140+ active members across 6 age categories including women's cricket. Conducting 300+ senior matches and 100+ junior matches in recent years. Expanding community programs.
